Hello In There! Laments of a Prize-Free Mailbox.

True Story: We were randomly drawing winners for our Player Reward Card Fall Fest promotion, which is always a lot of fun for us. We were pulling the top tier winners -- 3 lucky players who would receive $500 AmEx Cards. Here's how it went: "And the first card goes to... "dummy e-mail address" (Unless someone actually receives mail at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ). Okay... let's try again. "And the card goes to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ... wait, that can't be right..."

In the long run, we ended up choosing winners with valid e-mails, but the truth of the matter is that the people who actually would have won missed out because we couldn't contact them, and that's disappointing for everyone involved.

In a world where we are constantly getting requests for our e-mail addresses, it is understandable that people would choose to keep their information to themselves. However, when you work for 3 months to complete a series of time-consuming game cards, wouldn't you want to know that you've won? We're just saying... do you really want the next guy on the prize list to get your $500? We didn't think so.

So, on behalf of Buzztime prizes yet to be won (and empty mailboxes everywhere), we make this humble request: Please, please, please make sure your contact information is correct on your player account. If you can add in a mailing address, it's even better, but not necessary. We want you to win...we love when you win and we want to make sure you  actually get your prize when your luck shows up.
