BuzzSpeak Lesson #2: What's a Maxwell Smart Game?In part 1 of BuzzSpeak a host of words and phrases were discussed and defined in full: Lone Wolf, Precall, Typing, and Soundbagging to name a few. The great thing about language is how fluid it is. Words can have different meanings in different settings, and since Buzztime is its own community it also has its own unique, and fun language.

You will find that the more you play Buzztime the more you will find yourself using these words and having even more fun! Below are some of the more common terms you will hear while playing Trivia at your local watering hole:

Buzzie: (noun) An oft-used nickname for Buzztime employees.

Additional Info: I love being called a Buzzie. I'm sure every single time 'Buzzie' is said at a bar it is uttered with the utmost enthusiasm and love. Right?

Buzztime Nation: The entire collection of individuals who play Buzztime.

Additional Info: The Buzztime Nation is larger than Belize, Iceland, Maldives and Monaco. Our collective IQ is also very impressive. After all, we are a nation of Trivia players!

Maxwell Smart game : This is said when a player misses a perfect game "by that much". This is also known as a 'Gut-Punch' game. Man, does it hurt.

Related: K-Mart Score - Barely missing a 1000 point question, getting 999 or 998.

Related: Wal-Mart Score-Like the a "K-Mart Score', only lower (like Wal-Mart's prices); e.g. 989.

Additional Info: When you actually get a perfect score you usually don't say anything other than 'Yes!', 'Boo-yah!' or 'I'll have another Beer!'.

Until the next lesson....Good luck and good fun!
