'Answer This!" and Buzztime Take Trivia To The Movies!

 A year ago, we came across a quick blurb about a film all about live trivia and the bigger challenges in life like our fate and love. As you can surmise we were intrigued and a year later I found myself in the lobby of a Hollywood building, for the screening of an inspiring comedy all about the balance of trivia and the more mundane tasks we all face on a day to day basis.The film stars, Christopher Gorham of “Ugly Betty” and “Covert Affairs” fame as Paul Tarson, a young man in the throws of an academic and life crisis as he struggles with his dissertation while attempting to beat a local live trivia competition and get the girl that inspires him. Movies come along that challenge or notions of importance and help us question our priorities. Following the screening, we returned to the lobby and joined throngs of Buzztime trivia fans, cast, crew, and Michigan University Alumni to play several rounds of Hosted Trivia and celebrate the trivial matters. The fans enjoyed cocktails and boxed wine (yes box wine, you’ll have to watch the film to understand that reference) while mingling with the celebrities, actors and famous Michigan University athletes and alumni from the film’s central location of Michigan University in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Fans enjoyed free t-shirts, posters and Buzztime schwag while playing games, meeting the film’s writers, director and producers and enjoying the art of live trivia. This film is one of those growing phenomenas that promises to sweep across the nation and attract trivia players everywhere who have a love for live trivia. This was a celebration of a film, filmmaking, trivia, trivia fans, and the promise and potential of taking the time to answer the small questions. A big event for trivial passions.
