Are you preventing your customers from promoting your Facebook page?
Asking customers to tag themselves in photos on your Facebook page is one of the easiest ways to encourage interaction and engagement.
Tagging is a way for users to identify themselves in photos. Once someone has been tagged in your photo, it will appear on their profile, as well as in the news feeds of their friends. More tagged users means more people are likely to see your photos!
There’s just one problem: Facebook automatically restricts fans from tagging photos on a Facebook page. Pages are preset to not allow fans to tag themselves in photos.
If you don’t know where to find the setting to change, follow along:
Step 1: From the Admin Panel, click “Edit Page” and select “Update Info”
Step 2: Select “Manage Permissions” in the left hand corner.
Once you’ve selected Manage Permissions, navigate to the “Tagging Ability” line and click the box next to “People can tag photos posted by ___________.”
(P.S. It also might be worth making sure that fans can upload photos and videos to your Facebook page.)
Now your fans can tag themselves and their friends in your photos!
