I'll take your word on the 1980s. The only decade I remember being used was the 1950s. I was going to suggest the 1970s because the 1950s were used for the old farts and last week, a mostly 1980s band, Van Halen, was used.

1970s and 1980s are in my wheelhouse, as I was born in 1980.

1960s is not quite as strong for me as the '70s or '80s, but I would not be upset if it came up.
