PlayersPlus FAQ
A: Buzztime designed the PlayersPlus program specifically to recognize the loyalty of our users. Players earn PlayersPlus Points - and status within the Buzztime community - every time they play games at Buzztime locations. PlayersPlus membership also qualifies players for our many prizes, perks, and special promotions. Q: How do I register for PlayersPlus? A: If you are online, you may register for PlayersPlus here: http://www.buzztime.com/players/register. If you are at a location, just follow these simple steps:
A: With the old PIN/Handle model, there was a 4-7 day waiting period. With the new Username and Password model, there is no waiting time. Please remember that your password is case-sensitive. If you cannot remember your password, you can get it reset by going to http://www.buzztime.com/players/login.php?do=lostpw. Q: I tried to register on the Player site but it said my username was already in use. A: Your Username and Password are now synchronized! You will use them at Buzztime locations, online and through your mobile device. Usernames are unique and required for your universal login. If you received a message that the username you want is unavailable, then please choose a new one. Q: Why can't I log in to the forums with my PlayersPlus info? A: The Player site registration is separate from a PlayersPlus registration and therefore you are not automatically registered for our online community when signing up for PlayersPlus with your PIN/Handle account. To login, sign in with your Username and Password. To add a username to your active PIN/Handle account, go to http://www.buzztime.com/register and click on the link that is next to "Already have a PIN and handle?", where you will follow the prompts. If your PIN/Handle is allocated to site that is closed or terminated, you will need to sign up for a new username account and then request your points be transferred to your new account. Q: I am having problems logging into the Player section of the site. A: There are a few reasons why you may not be able to login to the Player section (forums) of our website:
A: Yes. The Buzztime website requires cookies to be enabled before you log in. A cookie is a small file that is written to your computer when you log in or view certain web pages. NTN Buzztime, Inc. uses cookies when you login to ensure security and customize your experience during your browsing session. When you close your browser all PlayersPlus cookies will be deleted unless you select the "Remember Me" option. Q: How do I enable Cookies? A: To Enable Cookies, check your browser's preferences, options, or settings screens. Cookies are usually enabled by default. You may need to close and reopen your browser for the setting to take effect. Once you have your cookies enabled, try logging in again. Q: What do the different colored Icons on the ranking and scoreboard screens mean? A: These symbols show the PlayersPlus membership status of each person. As you earn more PlayersPlus points, your symbol will change according to the chart below: Q: What is the minimum score required in each game in order to earn Players Plus bonus points? A: The thresholds to earn PlayersPlus points are as follows:
Q: What do I get for my PlayersPlus points? A: PlayersPlus points hold no monetary value and are for bragging rights only! If you are interested in winning prizes we frequently have competitions for PlayersPlus members. For a list of current competitions and promotions please visit our Happenings page. Q: What is the three-letter PlayersPlus code for my location? A: In the past, a unique three-letter code was assigned to each bar or restaurant. It helped Buzztime to differentiate between players with identical PIN numbers. In this manner, a player with PIN 1111 at Bar A had a different account than another player with PIN 1111 at Bar B. With the new universal login model, no site code is necessary. For those who choose to continue to log in with PIN/Handle, if you need to find out what your 3 letter code is, go to the Site Finder and enter the city or postal code your location is in. Click on the name of your location. Your site location code will be featured on the site details page. Q: My PIN still doesn't work and I am entering all 7 digits (i.e. 1234ABC) A: If you are using the old PIN/Handle model, it is possible that you are using the wrong Site Code. To ensure you are using the right Site Code please go to the Site Finder and enter the city or postal code your location is in. Click on the name of your location. Your Site Code will be featured on the site details page. Q: I have lost my handle and PIN. Can you find them for me? A: We can attempt to locate your account by using an email address if you entered one while signing up. If you know which email address you used when registering you may contact us and we can try to find the information for you. In the dropdown select "PlayersPlus" and under issue select "Comments". Make sure to include all information that you can in the "Message" field. If we are unable to find your PIN/Handle, we encourage you to rejoin Buzztime and start a new PlayersPlus account using Username and Password. Q: Where do I find answers about PlayersPlus point and/or account transfers? A: Please visit our Point & Account Transfer FAQ! Q: I do not have a home site listed on my Player Profile. How do I get one added? A: Now you can select and change your favorite home site yourself! Go to the Edit My Info section of the Player site and choose your favorite location under My Home Site. Remember that with the new Username and Password model, your login information is not tied to a location. Q: How do I play at other locations and still earn PlayersPlus points? A: Because you now have a universal login, where you play does not affect getting your points. Your Username and Password are the same no matter where you play. If you choose to use PIN/Handle, you will need to use your full 7-digit PlayersPlus PIN. Q: Will I be able to see my point total at a remote location? A: If you are using the Username and Password model, yes. Q: Why aren't my PlayersPlus points accumulating? A: There are a couple possibilities as to why you could not be accumulating points on your account:
A: Rankings do not show for one of two reasons:
Q: Why aren't my national top 100 scores showing up in my profile? Q: Why did my achievements (National Top 100s, Local wins, medals) decrease? |
