Buzztime’s interactive trivia contest sends winners to compete on CBC’s Test the Nation
CARLSBAD, CA (February 25, 2008) – NTN Buzztime, Inc. (Amex: NTN), a multi-point social interactive entertainment company, announces today a partnership with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC). Buzztime and CBC are joining forces to cross-promote the popular CBC game show Test the Nation on the Buzztime Network®.
As part of the agreement, CBC’s Test the Nation is challenging armchair athletes across Canada to play Buzztime’s sports trivia game Sports IQ at local bars and restaurants. The top 6 scorers between January 7 and February 11 will win a slot to compete as a team on an upcoming Test the Nation Trivia game show broadcasting this spring. The contest will be advertised on the Buzztime Network throughout Canada, and will also be promoted on-air on the CBC network.
In addition to the on-air contest, the Test the Nation broadcast will include live footage of trivia players at Harbor Sports Grill in Toronto, a Buzztime-subscribing location. The Buzztime players at the bar will be answering the same trivia questions as the armchair athletes competing on the Test the Nation set.

This Test the Nation contest is the first of several planned co-promotions between Buzztime and CBC/Test the Nation. Future events will include interactive games between Buzztime bar trivia players and Test the Nation participants.
Buzztime games are available in bars and restaurants across North America on the Buzztime® Network. Played on televisions in each location, Buzztime features original programming including predictive sports games, multiple genres of interactive trivia games and casino-style card games.
