Her name sake Fabulous Fern's Bar and Grill is described by the St. Paul Convention and Visitors Bureau as, " Simply the Finest Neighborhood Restaurant and Bar in St. Paul". It began with a photograph by the artist Brassai. Among his well-known images is that of La Mome bijou, or Miss Diamonds, a bejeweled barfly whose life was something of a mystery. "Fern" a woman, part real and part fictional, has become the restaurant?s matriarch. Fern's life revolved around the fine food, beverage, and the love of the nightlife with friends.
