Cutest Couple Contest
One of the best (and most fun) ways to get customers interacting with your social media sites around Valentine’s Day is to run a Cutest Couple contest. This type of contest gives couples the chance to do a little bit of bragging, which (let’s face it) is something most people don’t have a problem doing!
Prompt fans to share a photo of themselves and significant others for the contest. Ask that they provide a few details about their relationship (how they met, how long they’ve been together, etc.). Then let the voting begin! The photo with the most overall votes by a certain date will be the winner. Reward the winner with a Valentine’s Day dinner for two.

Asking your followers to “Retweet for a chance to win …” is a simple way to get people involved. With the click of one link (the Retweet link), your followers are broadcasting your message to their followers.
You can also make sure you’re front of mind by sharing Valentine’s fun facts and trivia! Include a relevant hashtag that your customers can follow, like #ValentinesDay. Send out 10-15 trivia tweets on the 14th to get your followers excited for that evening. You can even start early and send one each day leading up to Valentine’s Day. Give the couples who waited last minute (as in, day of) to make Valentine’s Day plans a reason to choose your establishment for the evening. Create special Facebook or Foursquare check in deals for anyone who dines with you on the evening of Valentine’s Day.
Create specials that are specific to couples, like “Buy One Entree, Get the Second Half Off” or “Buy Two Entrees, Get a Free Dessert to Share.” Only make these specials available for the night of Valentine’s Day.
