Before beer and wings became as common a coupling as peanut butter and jelly, before certain quizzical pop superstars pondered from where buffalo wings came from, and before wings and waitresses in tight t-shirts became a national phenomenon, there was Native New Yorker. Over 40 years ago, Buffalo, New York natives, Floyd and Judy Anderson were desperately struggling to keep their fledgling Tempe restaurant from the ever- approaching specter of bankruptcy. Having regularly visited the now famous Anchor Bar in Buffalo, where Buffalo wings were "invented", the Andersons were willing to bet that Phoenix would fall in love with Buffalo Wings the same way New Yorkers had. Boy, were they right! Today, Native New Yorker, now called Native Grill & Wings, remains synonymous with the best Buffalo Wings in the Valley. And while some want to know our recipe, and others want our secrets, the reason our wings still win awards is very simple. Over 40 years of experience is pretty hard to beat!
